Automatic update

To enable the Automatic Update function you have to start the Service. Per default the Service is configured to manually and stopped.

To start the Service start the Services Console (Start -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services). Now select the Automatic Update Service (Figure 1), right click and select Properties.

In the now opened Properties windows you can select the start type. You can start the Service and leave the Start Type on Manual or select Automatic. After the Service is started you can configure the Automatic Update in the Control Panel. Per default the Automatic Updates are turned off (Figure 2). Select your preferred update method and confirm with "OK".

The Automatic Updates can be configured exactly like Windows XP Professional Update Service.

If you want to use the Automatic Update Service you have to be sure that you have enough free disk space. Also there will be created some uninstall-files on the disk, these files need additional disk space.
